  1. MISSING NAV-AIDS SCENERY FOR SOUTHERN PACIFIC AND AUSTRALIA FS5.1 DEFAULT 
  2. SCENERY VERSION 1.0

  4. (read also the IMPORTANT note ate the end of this txt)

  6. The default Fs5.1 world scenery is including a lot of airports and a lot
  7. of navigational aids.
  8. But most of the navaids (VOR and NDB) are still missing.
  9.  
  10. With the help of JEPPESEN, the biggest company specialized in distributing
  11. navigational data, I started making scenery files containing ONLY the missing
  12. VOR's and NDB's in the fs5.1 world.
  13. JEPPESEN exclusively provided me with the needed data files under the
  14. restriction that the data would only be used for non commercial scenery's
  15. for PC flightsimulation. (The database is dated February 1995)
  16. So take the copyright instruction included to the files very serious: in that
  17. way we can keep Jeppesens permission to use the database.

  19. This release is covering the SOUTHERN PACIFIC including a big part of Eastern
  20. Asia!
  21. Magnetic Variation is in this part of the navaids collection OK.
  22. I also included the settings for VOR only, VOR/DME and DME only.
  23. You will find some DME only navaids in New Zealand (f.i. near Queenstown: 
  24. Alexandra, LX 117.1)

  53. Just copy the file SPANAV.BGL to your favorite homerbrew scenery directory and 
  54. if you don't use the OzPack Australia scenery you should also copy AUSNAV.BGL
  55. to that place.

  59. I used SCASM vers. 1.27 to compile the stuff. Thanks to Manfred Moldenhauer!
  60. I used the file NAV.ZIP from Phil Saitta (MicroSoft) to exclude the in FS5.1
  61. included nav-aids. 
  62. NAV.ZIP includes the FS5.1 nav-aid information.

  64. IMPORTANT:
  65. I did a quick test on this stuff and all seems to work fine.
  66. Testing, locating and checking all included nav-aids would take a LOT
  67. of time.
  68. That's why I am asking YOU to test the file and to report me:
  69. -if you are missing nav-aids
  70. -if you find double nav-aids
  71. -if you encounter database errors
  72. -if you have suggestions for enhancements
  73. -if you know the correct fs5.1 magn.deviation around the world.....
